Part-time Cook Center Event Worker

POSITION PURPOSE:

The part-time Cook Center Event Worker will help with setting up events, working and cleaning up after events and general organization of the facility. 

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Help with moving tables and chairs for Navarro College and private events.
• Represent Navarro College during hosted events.
• Will require working some evening events.
• Basic cleaning of the building before and after events.
• Help with organizing supplies.
• General organization and cleaning of facility. 
• Provide a work schedule to assistant Event Coordinator.
• Attend worker meetings as called.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Able to work independently and with others.
• Must be approachable and able to communicate with guests.
• Ability to take initiative.
• Able to see a project to completeness.
• Ability to make changes to a layout based on guest feedback.
• Flexibility is required.
• Ability to lift and move loads up to 40 lbs. repeatedly.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

• Guest service experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Variances from regular working hours may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.  Times will be flexible according to the event schedule. 
• May require working some evenings and weekends.
• Busy working environment with numerous interruptions. 
• Must have reliable transportation.

SALARY:  $12. per hour / up to 19 hours per week
