Sr Business Developer (German Speaker), Amazon Freight

About the role
We are looking to hire a Business Developer as part of our EU Commercial Team. This person will be responsible for recruiting European Shippers to our service, owning and growing Shipper engagements, and ensuring a great Shipper experience.
This role can be based in Berlin or Munich.
Key job responsibilities
- Recruit new potential customers to use our products and services.
- Identify new segments and unlock new customer base with best-in-class service.
- Maintain a high level of engagement from our Customers and proactively identify the challenges they are facing.
- Build trustful relationships with key stakeholders across the portfolio.
- Be the voice of the customer (Shipper) to guide product development and iterations.
- Identify and lead new projects or initiatives to solve customer pain points and improve shipper experience.

Amazon Freight (AF) is a B2B start-up within Amazon Transportation Services in Europe.
Amazon Freight allows external businesses ("shippers") to use Amazon’s transportation technology and network to transport products in bulk across Europe. This is an innovative technology-driven solution for the logistics needs of small and large businesses and is scaling rapidly as an offering.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Berlin, BE, DEU | Munich, BE, DEU
- Advanced proficiency in written and verbal German
- A degree
- Relevant work experience within a commercial role (Sales, Account Management, Product Management, Business Development)
- Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
- Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
- Additional language skills (Particularly French, German, Dutch or Chinese)
- Relevant Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain or distribution.
- Experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership
- Relevant experience working with reporting tools and large-scale data mining tools, such as Power BI, Python, SQL, or Tableau.
