Job Description

HII – Mission Technologies Corp., is looking for a qualified Senior Virtualiztion/VDI Specialist to support the B-21 program office located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.  Must have a TS/SCI clearance and Level II certification. 

• Migrate desktops and relevant applications to the new on premise cloud based Virtual Desktop infrastructure.
• Performs day-to-day activities required to administer VDI in support of end-users.
• Create and deploy application packages to VDI users.
• Compile lists of applications and package the applications to be deployed in a VDI environment. Install, update, patch and uninstall custom and off the shelf applications.
• Assists in ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Assist in the design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of new software and enhancements of existing applications.
• Work with project managers, developers, and end users to ensure system designs meet business requirements.
• Integrate new and modify major physical/virtual desktop images to create a baseline for deployment to client's physical/virtual workstations) that are Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliant, and to ensure compliance with DoD Secure Host Baseline (SHB) mandates and proper operation of applications, software, and IT systems.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Develop Image Release Test Plan, which will be provided to the client's Test Environment prior to release to the Production Environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assigned Service Level III IRs and SRs regarding image.
• Provide written technical specifications for end user computing devices projected for use by the client.
• Support all aspects of AFLCMC/WB IT systems management to include planning, design, acquisition, installation and set-up, testing, accreditation, fielding, support, and disposition of IT equipment, components, and software.
• Plan, schedule, coordinate, install, update, and accomplish day-today administration for software and hardware on multiple classified networks.
• Manage IT network equipment to include switches, routers, and both basic and advanced configurations of firewalls.
• Configure and troubleshoot Video Teleconferencing and Voice over IP telephone systems.
• Support analysis and testing to ensure equipment and software additions and upgrades compatible with existing infrastructure.
• Optimize the function and performance of network hardware and software to ensure IT system availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability. 
• Troubleshoot, identify network problems and develop, coordinate, and implement corrective actions.
• Support tracking of network equipment and software technology obsolescence and help analyze and prepare trades for future maintenance and replacement in support of IT budget planning.
• Provide help desk support for all IT networks and communications systems for on-site and off-site personnel.
