Purpose

~ Position is responsible for creating, analyzing and recommending mobile app strategies for Hyundai and Genesis brands, working collaboratively across business groups and partners. Additionally, this position will be responsible for managing all key partner-vendors to deliver app updates and release new apps to relevant customer marketplaces in a timely fashion.

Major Responsibilities

~ Create Connected Car and app strategies for Hyundai Motor America (HMA).

~ Manage the development and maintenance of Hyundai and Genesis apps.

~ Analyze and identify market opportunities for mobile apps.

~ Develop and analyze business case for each app including areas of opportunity for revenue generation.

~ Develop and publish app standards and best practices for HMA.

~ Manage the development and maintenance of Hyundai and Genesis apps.

~ Manage vendors to successfully deliver, publish, and maintain apps at respective app marketplaces.

~ Coordinate and integrate across HMA departments and globally with HMC to ensure quality of app releases and alignment of app/connected car strategy.

~ Conduct competitive analysis to identify gaps and opportunities in apps.

~ Monitor consumer feedback on apps and work with app developers and stakeholders to implement fixes and enhancements as needed.

~ Develop and maintain relationships for app content providers internally and externally for inclusion in current and next-generation HMA apps.

Authority

~ Be a subject matter expert able to provide thought leadership and independently drive app development and strategy with alignment of leadership.

~ Manage activities, performance and budget of partners while holding to timelines. 

~ Manage team of contractors dedicated to app development activities.

~ Ability to present and defend mobile app best practice internally across HMA.

Education

~ Must be a high school graduate~ Bachelor’s degree preferred~ Master’s degree a plus

Related Experience

~ Six to seven years of total experience with at least 2 years of digital marketing/interactive development (website management or app management) experience required.

~ At least 2 years of related project management and vendor management experience required.

~ 1 – 2 years of automotive and/or consumer electronics experience required.

~ 2+ years of direct automotive OEM experience a plus

~ Mobile app experience a plus

Skills/Knowledge

~ Good understanding of automotive technology and/or consumer electronics.

~Interest in emerging connected car or Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.

~ Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office package required.

~ Familiarity with Jira and Figma a plus

$85,400.00 - $122,000.00 Annual
