Position Summary:
Join CCMSI as a Workers' Compensation Claim Representative I and become part of a team dedicated to delivering exceptional service. This position offers a hybrid schedule after initial in-office training, working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. You will handle claims for multiple accounts within the Nevada jurisdiction, including industries such as public entities, casinos, temp agencies, and farming. A Nevada adjuster's license is preferred, and a Nevada hearings license is desirable — if not already held, you must be willing to obtain it. Performance is measured by client satisfaction and your ability to handle claims timely, adhering to CCMSI corporate claims best practice standards.
Responsibilities
Investigate and adjust workers' compensation claims following CCMSI guidelines and established procedures under direct supervision.
Review medical, legal, and other related invoices to determine if they are reasonable and related to claims. Negotiate disputed bills as needed.
Authorize and issue claim payments within settlement authority and industry standards.
Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys, securing client authorization when required.
Assist in the selection and supervision of defense attorneys.
Assess and monitor subrogation claims for resolution.
Prepare detailed reports on claims, payments, and reserves.
Provide reports and monitor files as needed for excess insurers.
Ensure compliance with team’s Service Commitments and deliver quality claims service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years of workers' compensation claims experience or related industry experience.
- Licenses: Nevada adjuster’s license is preferred; Nevada hearings license preferred or willingness to obtain.
Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational abilities, and ability to prioritize tasks. Must be a self-starter, adaptable, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Discretion and confidentiality are essential.
Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
