Project Title: Inspection Process Optimization 

 

Project Objective- what will the project accomplish?

 To enhance process flow, efficiency,reduce time between doffing, grading, and shipping materials, through the use of Lean Methodologies, Time Studies, and SMED principles. Successful completion of this project will result in reduced wait times at doffs, a more optimized inspection process, and minimized build-up in inspection areas.

What will the sponsor receive at the end of the project?

1.Data through BARCO showing a reduction in "Doff Time" 

2.Create defined storage location for rolls going into OOF that utilize space avaible an enable FIFO. 

3.Number of rolls graded per shift / OOF reduction 

4.Reduce/Eliminate Rolls going back on Hold
