Position Title: Executive Administrative Assistant

Department:  Counseling & Consultation Services

Term of Assignment: Continuing

Term End Date, If Applicable:             

FLSA Status:   Non-Exempt = overtime eligible

Work Schedule: Traditionally Monday-Friday. 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Salary: Hourly rate: $18.00

Travel: No travel

Brief Statement of Duties

Brief Statement of Duties: Responsible for providing administrative and faculty support and guidance to ensure the effective functioning of office administration/operation to include clerical, fiscal responsibility, inventory control, record maintenance, website maintenance, event organization and supervision of student staff. Responsible for managing the department scheduling and data reporting software system. Train department faculty and assist as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: High School Graduation or Equivalent

Required Minimum Work Experience:  Five years' progressive office work experience, e.g., prior financial management, support for managers/departments, meetings, document preparation, confidentiality.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: 

Customer and personal service skills to include assessing customer needs and utilizing independent action to provide solutions during stressful situations.
Excellent oral and written communication and comprehension skills.
Ability to accurately and efficiently perform required computerized tasks to include any combination of word processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail or web-based applications.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Time management skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to work effectively and calmly in emergency situations and possess a sensitivity to people in emotional distress.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to effectively meet deadlines.

Additional Desirable Qualifications: 

Telehealth, Michigan State Mental Health Code Act 258 of 1974. 330.1748 Confidentiality.
Supervisory experience.
Budget experience.
Database experience.
IT capability
Work experience in a mental health practice or emergency dispatch organization.
College experience.
