Citi’s Functions Technology is responsible for delivering Technology solutions to Citi's Functions organizations.  Functions Technology mission is to optimize Citi's Technology environment by delivering world class applications, driving standardization of the production environment, reducing complexity, optimizing management of systems supporting global functions such as Compliance, Controls, Internal Audit and Risk, and introducing innovative technologies that provide new business capabilities, reduce the technology total cost of ownership, and create a competitive advantage for Citi.

Enterprise Risk Management Technology within Functions Technology supports global functions partners such as Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM), Retail Credit Risk, Operational Risk and Model Risk.  Enterprise Risk Management covers Risk Identification, Risk Measurement, Appetite and Limits, Risk Analytics, New Activity Risk Management, Risk Framework and Policy, Enterprise Risk Management Governance.

The Director, Enterprise Risk Data Layer Product Manager must have relevant business expertise and sufficient technology knowledge to develop the product strategy and objectives in alignment with the business stakeholders. The Product Manager is a senior management level position responsible for managing a broad range of Product Management employees, setting strategy, and providing direction, leadership, and budgetary management, etc. The Enterprise Risk Data Layer (ERDL) is one of key foundational components being developed and will serve as a centralized repository for enterprise risk management data to support near-real time data acquisition for ERM functions i.e., KRI, Risk ID, Risk Appetite.

The successful candidate needs to have an intimate knowledge of how technology interacts with various businesses across the technology development life cycle. To be successful in this role, the candidate should have multiple competences – design thinking, domain expertise, delivery track record, astute people manager and great collaborator across levels.  A person who is successful in this role will be able to influence technology and business decisions therefore adding business value towards a stronger risk and controls environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day product management for core products such as product delivery, client experience, and client communication strategies as well as help the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results
  • Manage the strategic program roadmap for the ERDL and lead team with vision for the end-to-end product development lifecycle
  • Manage capacity planning by advocating for funding needed to meet needs and proactively identify risk or issues which may impact delivery
  • Identify the technical risk and dependencies for the ERDL platform on Front line business units (FLUs), business and technology teams and drive mitigation path 
  • Define technical workstreams in the platform development project and identify resources and talent to serve the technology product owners to drive the platform build 
  • Drive decision and solutioning with scrum teams and business teams to meet the business and regulatory commitments
  • Manage stakeholders from enterprise architecture, third party vendors and risk management organizations to drive solution and plan to build the ERDL
  • Identify the technology/ infrastructure/system and end to end user journey challenges that the ERDL are required to solve
  • Collaborate with solution architect and data providers to create system architecture including data sourcing strategies of the ERDL and database design  
  • Drive solutioning and create the tech. backlog based on the business requirements and prioritize based on tech. complexity, business needs, and dependencies 
  • Ensure adherence to Operations and Technology and Functions Technology standards on program delivery, compliance, process management, risk, and controls
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
