Job Description

You’ll join the Xplor Pay Java Development Team which provides a payment gateway that integrators, partners, and merchants utilize. Whether small and independent or large franchises, we build services that customers can rely on.

You will be reporting into the Gateway Development Director.  You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, working with Product Owners, Business Analysts and others to help deliver and support the functionalities for our Payment Gateway.

Responsibilities you’ll have:

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code and automated tests.
• Support and resolve production issues
• Conduct peer reviews for other members of the development team, ensuring that project conventions are adhered to and that requirements are correctly implemented.
• Experience working in a CI/CD environment.
• Review functional and technical documentation and improve where needed.
• Introduce design patterns and best practices as needed
• Have a keen eye for improvement in scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Mentoring junior team members and guiding them towards raising their own software quality standards.
• Must be open to keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technology developments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing java-based web applications in an Agile environment.
• Experience with distributed system architecture environment, Angular, Spring frameworks, RESTful services, and SQL database.
• Experience with Azure development is a plus
• Previous experience working in payment Gateway.
• Experience working with mobile apps is a plus
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Contribute to analysis of software projects including performance, diagnosis, and troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain documentation for developed APIs.
• Familiarity with SCRUM activities.
• Proactive, self-motivated learner with a strong drive to achieve personal goals.
• Professional and articulate communications skills.
• Ability to work in a team where you manage your own time and priorities.
