Pricing Operations
- Collaborate with the Director, Health Systems Pricing, and cross-functional teams to implement and effectively communicate pricing strategies that align with customer needs and organizational profitability goals.
- Conduct comprehensive economic research and item-level reviews, including rates of return, WAC Spread, and generics mix, to ensure pricing models are aligned with strategic goals and market conditions.
- Develop and refine pricing models and tools, support competitive scenario analysis and pricing construct development, to enhance decision-making processes and optimize margins.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and act as a key point-of-contact for pricing inquiries from internal sales departments, occasionally engaging with customers for strategic insights.
- Conduct regular portfolio and compliance analyses, ensuring competitive customer pricing and supporting new business wins and renewals through detailed RFP line-item analysis.
- Monitor and analyze pricing trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions, generating forecasts and identifying potential risks and opportunities for financial planning.
- Assist in training team members on pricing tools and technology, developing documentation and training materials to ensure consistent application and understanding across the organization.
- Lead initiatives to improve pricing efficiency and accuracy through process improvements and technology enhancements, assist in developing dashboards and analytics for performance insights.
- Research economic progressions and create financial models of "what if" scenarios to support future business planning decisions in areas like new product development and marketing strategies.
Coaching and Mentoring
- Provide guidance and support to Senior Pricing Analysts and Pricing Analysts, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing industry knowledge, best practices, and insights into effective pricing strategies and analysis.
- Encourage and facilitate skill development by identifying training opportunities and resources that align with individual career goals and team objectives.
- Offer constructive feedback and conduct regular check-ins to discuss progress, challenges, and potential areas for growth in pricing analysis and decision-making.
- Assist team members in developing problem-solving skills by guiding them through complex pricing scenarios and economic research methodologies.
- Support the team in setting and achieving personal and professional development goals, providing encouragement and motivation for continuous improvement.
- Promote a collaborative team culture where open communication and knowledge sharing are encouraged, helping analysts feel valued and supported in their roles
Cross-Functional Collaboration/Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with various teams across the organization, including Sales, Pricing, FP&A, and Distribution Operations, to support the development of integrated pricing solutions and strategies.
- Work closely with internal teams such as finance, sales, and supply chain to ensure alignment and integration of pricing initiatives.
- Partner with the BI/Analytics team to assist in building dashboards that provide actionable insights for pricing decisions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the sales team to gain insights into market dynamics and address customer concerns effectively.
- Support the execution of contracts by collaborating with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
- Assist in resolving any contractual issues or disputes in coordination with the legal and compliance departments.
Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
Education/Training –
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Business Experience –
- Minimum of 7 years of business experience in the pharmac
