A Day in the Life

In this exciting role as Equipment Support Supervisor, you will be leading a team of Technicians managing equipment maintenance including emergency, corrective and preventative maintenance. You will oversee partnership with equipment vendors and support the digitalization of this team in Maintenance Excellence at our Danvers facility. The Danvers Site has been part of Medtronic since 1984 and serves several internal partners that require delivery systems for it's therapies.  A Danvers product impacts a customer somewhere in the world about every 2 seconds. Danvers has annualized cost of goods of about 120 million USD supporting revenue of 8 billion USD.  The site supports eleven  Medtronic OUs with finished goods and components and employs over 1000 people. The site operates several product lines like: Guide Catheter, Export, PWP, Guardwire, Enveo, Spiderman, MRI, CryoCath, Fusion, Micra, Needle, TrailBlazer, React, Bolero and Sensight.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversees the maintenance of production equipment.
  • Maintains production equipment in a manner that meets company standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime.
  • Oversees technicians that repair and maintain the production and test equipment.
  • Establishes and maintains preventive maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Manages training programs to ensure proper operation, preventive maintenance, and repair programs and procedures.
  • Maintains inventory and/or spare parts.
  • Schedules manufacturing activities.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Management Skills: Management of Financial and Material Resources, Critical Thinking, Project Management, Management of Personnel Resources, Collaboration and Productivity Software, Effective Communication Skills.
  • Functional Skills: Machining and Manufacturing Technologies, Systems Thinking, Installation, Proficient computer skills.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.


Requires 1+ years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Leadership experience and proven experience developing a team

Managing equipment vendors including installs, install qualifications, and corrective maintenance

Maintenance planning

Experience using Maintenance Excellence

Equipment maintenance, including emergency, corrective and preventative maintenance

Mechanical and electrical experience

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$76,000.00 - $114,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors s
