Senior Business Developer

Senior Business Developer (Worcester, MA) Work closely with business development team members to source new opportunities with existing clients, assist in driving forward existing projects under development with customers and locking in backlog for future work. Daily job duties include:

• Work with Customers/Owners to provide technical support and provide advice on optimization of the electrical and civil designs of their solar projects;
• Interface directly with Customers/Owners and CS Energy’s pre-sales team in order to drive the design and development assist aspects of our Customers solar projects;
• Develop new relationships with current Customers;
• Take part in and lead external customer meetings;
• Research, organize, produce reports, and present information clearly to management;
• Perform general tracking of project development with our Customers from the initial “go” to when it’s ready for construction;
• Lead project bids and proposals for solar and energy storage projects; and
• Travel to project site locations and stakeholders meetings as required.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems, a related field or foreign equivalent, followed by at least 2 years of progressively responsible experience with solar project engineering, procurement and/or construction. Experience must include:

1. 2 years of experience putting together estimates and proposals for vendors or subcontractors, demonstrating budget management;
2. 1 year of experience with managing vendor, subcontractor or design firm project schedules;
3. 1 year of experience with the commercial processes, from bid, to design, to procurement and construction aimed at minimizing costs while maximizing profits;
4. 1 year of experience managing business development sales and client management; and
5. 1 year of experience managing the project intakes and proposal assembly.
