The Administrative Assistant supports the Housing Assistance Department (HAD) by providing administrative, data entry, and general office support.

Additional Requirement
- Valid driver’s license required. This requirement may be waived, if necessary, based on overall candidate experience and current needs of the business.

Essential Job Functions
- Maintains a centralized system for tracking, purchasing, and disbursing office supplies for the department.
- Assists with reports to federal grant sources and research organizations.
- Research and coordinate information for special jobs and projects, as assigned.
- Maintains documents for case files and helps organize case files.
- Maintains multiple calendars and reservations on behalf of the department.
- Schedule regular maintenance of program vehicles.
- Performs cleanliness and inspections of program vehicles to ensure fuel levels, registration, and insurance documentation are available.
- Performs receptionist and phone answering duties to ensure a positive experience for those seeking support from the department as necessary.
- Provides orientation to new staff and volunteers.
- Maintains a harm-reduction and trauma informed work environment that is marked by respect for others, values inclusiveness, builds workforce diversity, and that fosters cooperation and teamwork.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Summary
- Sound critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Consistently superb customer service skills; excellent interpersonal/assertive communications skills demonstrating a high degree of emotional intelligence.
- Experience working with people who are experiencing homelessness or who have come from homelessness preferred.
- Reliable transportation required. Valid CO Driver’s License Required.
- Must be able to pass criminal background and automobile insurance carrier’s Motor Vehicle Record background investigations. Education and Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 2 years of prior experience performing administrative duties preferred.
