Job Description
Turner & Townsend is looking for an experienced Senior Construction Scheduler to join our growing Los Angeles team.
The Senior Scheduler will take responsibility for end-to-end service delivery and to act as key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value added service. To be successful in this role you must have great communication skills and be comfortable operating in a client-facing role.
Responsibilities:
- Track progress of projects within the larger program. Identify potential delays, and work with stakeholders to ensure that projects remain within scope.
- Understand and apply construction industry standard scheduling best practices.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meets quality and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain high-level master schedules to manage projects through design, permitting, procurement, construction, and closeout phases.
- Generate and update detailed construction schedules based on drawing reviews and input from project stakeholders.
- Review contractor construction schedules for compliance with contract requirements, use of scheduling best practices, progress, and changes.
- Coordinate schedule activities between various projects and stakeholders.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
- College degree in Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field of study.
- Minimum of five (5) years of scheduling experience in the construction industry, with experience in building construction preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project scheduling software.
- Technology savvy / proficient.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
- Experience with developing, maintaining, and reviewing project schedules, including experience with cost and resource loading.
- Capable of reading and interpreting architectural drawings.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities with minimal guidance and supervision.
- Strong communication skills and capacity to develop and maintain relationships with Project Managers, Owners, Contractors, and other project team members.
Additional Information
The salary range for this full-time role is $145K-$165K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
