Business Operations Manager
Overview:
The Business Operations (BizOps) team at Weedmaps works across the company and serves as a key point of contact for cross-functional projects. As a Business Operations Manager, you are responsible for managing cross-functional initiatives, continual stakeholder engagement and support, and development and execution of roadmaps. You will sometimes act as the project leader to define, plan, prioritize, and execute initiatives with cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate is highly structured, but resourceful, and has the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The role includes components of strategy, operations, and communication. Therefore, you must demonstrate natural leadership, a curiosity to learn, and can comfortably challenge the norm. Experience in project management or operations is a must.
The impact you’ll make:
- Drive strategic business initiatives from ideation to execution with cross-functional teams
- Engage with senior leadership in program management and initiatives planning
- Build and develop new operational processes and streamline workflows across teams
- Ensure tight alignment with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, deliver and communicate updates, and align recommendations to various stakeholder groups
What you've accomplished:
- 5+years of experience in a highly cross-functional role (ie project manager, business operations, chief of staff, strategy & ops) at high-growth start-up companies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; must demonstrate ability to craft clear and concise actionable recommendations
- Operations background with experience in sales or marketing
- Ability to own small to large projects and as self-starter
- High tolerance for change and a demonstrated ability to accomplish work in a changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to operate at both 10k and 10 feet
- Can learn quickly outside of core skill set
- Experience in cannabis, ecommerce, sales, marketing, or marketplaces is a plus
The base pay range for this position is: $102,000.00 - $137,000.00
