Scope:
Leadership of market intelligence data and information across the fertility business in order to understand business performance and market dynamics and where to prioritize overall efforts in order to achieve business goals. The Senior Manager Market intelligence will lead a team of 1/2 in order to develop and build an approach to providing clear market information and data (internally and externally) that enables the broader marketing and business teams to understand and prioritize the market and competitive opportunities to support the achievement of business goals. This role contributes to the insights, assessments, and early product portfolio development work, in concert with Fertility leadership, Innovation team, Corporate Strategy & Market Development, and R&D colleagues. The global commercial Fertility team is approximately 400 FTEs with a revenue of ~$0.5B with a history of double-digit organic growth.
Job Summary:
The role will require a deeper understanding of global markets and competitors with three primary objectives; one to ensure that current products meet customer challenges and that we are able to enhance those products to keep them relevant in the marketplace; two, assist with prioritizing future product innovation to meet the needs of the organization as well as satisfy our on-going customer requirements; and three, to collaborate with regional leaders and product managers to evaluate international growth opportunities and build out a strategy to bring them to life. Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
- Lead analysis of competitor performance and global market insights; coordinate and guide the annual strategic planning process for the Fertility business team
- Responsible for key market research, insights gathering and needs assessments for all markets to develop and execute our strategy globally
- Provide insight into voice of customer priorities, based on KOL and field engagement, so that the organization is properly aligned.
- Organizes, and controls several market research or intelligence projects within Fertility portfolio from conceptual stages, through development to completion, partnering with Corporate Strategy and Marketing colleagues
- Contribute to defining the strategic platforms for new products and build a robust pool of ideas, such as product enhancements, to mine when appropriate to achieve revenue, market and product portfolio objectives
- In partnership with Product Managers, R&D, BD and Strategy teams, build new product pipeline against strategic platforms to deliver 5-year plan
- Serve as the Marketing lead for our analysis – Collaborate with other marketing leaders and Strategy team to build out business case development, simulated test market, concept testing and tracking mechanisms and connecting with Strategy colleagues to develop cohesive recommendations
- Support the new product planning process through each stage of product development to ensure adequate depth/resources to meet business objectives
- Inspire and engage others to embrace change in order to build upon the strengths of CSI products by initiating changes that could go beyond current systems and processes
- Communicate and influence senior management on business strategy and prioritization
- Coordinates and collaborates cross-functionally through-out the entire organization to include Brand, Channel Marketing, customer service, sales, innovation, R&D, Strategy and Operations
