Chemours is seeking a Data Science Intern to join our Data Science team! This position will report directly to the Data Science Team Manager.
The Data Science Intern will work closely with the Data Science team in helping us create and deploy predictive models to support all functions of the business.
Location: Wilmington, DE (remote work available within US)
Hours: Regular full-time schedule of 40 hours per week
Term: 3-month assignment between May-August 2025
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Developing predictive models using the full range of platform capabilities in Microsoft Azure
Writing data preparation and analysis routines in Python using the pandas and scikit-learn packages
Participating in data set design and statistical modeling discussion
Learning how to integrate process control solutions with data science models
The following is required for this role:
Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a sophomore or above at time of assignment
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Chemical or Controls Engineering or other similar fields
Programming experience with one or more of Python, Matlab, R, Java, C++, C#
The following is preferred for this role:
3.0 GPA or above
Proficiency in analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities
Strong communication skills and the ability to present findings to a non-technical audience
