SENIOR TRANSPORTATION PLANNER

Wallace Montgomery is searching for a senior planner to join one of our offices. The Senior Transportation Planner provides technical supervision and management of assigned projects. They contribute to the preparation of proposals, budgets, and schedules for new project opportunities and may serve as Project Team Leader, directing the day-to-day technical requirements of staff for assigned project. 

Essential Functions:

• Facilitate coordination and effective communication across technical disciplines to build consensus and deliver unified project outcomes in a timely manner 
• Assist with coordination between project engineers and subconsultants to develop project documents and reports 
• Perform necessary duties such as research, data analysis, writing, and oversight of graphic development to develop project documents and reports in accordance with standards 
• Participate in delivering project information in public forums or to meet client needs 
• Monitor compliance with the scope of work and perform quality control/quality assurance procedures 
• Maintain project records in accordance with company policies 
• Provide training, guidance, and mentoring to junior staff 
• Stay updated on current trends and methodologies related to their area of expertise 
• Assist in the procurement of work opportunities and promote the firm’s expertise to establish client confidence and trust 

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in civil engineering, environmental, planning, urban planning, transportation studies or similar fields.
• Minimum 10 years of experience 
• AICP Certification is required
