As a Software Engineer joining the Fossa Team you will build modern APIs in Python with Django and interfaces for a web portal written in NextJS with React. This interface is used by world class physicians and therapists to diagnose, prescribe, and conduct online visits that users can book using https://plushcare.com/. 

What you’ll do:

• Design and implement complex systems and user workflows under tight deadlines using React, NextJS and Django 

• Drive and shape architecture and lead engineering effort of the highly rated PlushCare platform 

• Own projects end-to-end, from developing prototypes using UI/UX and data requirements through ensuring reliable roll-outs to large healthcare systems in two-week sprints 

• Follow best practices to build an easy to maintain and extend, high performing application 

• Collaborate with product management, design, data team, and other engineers to create a cohesive, consistent and easy to use application across all platforms 

• Design and implement complex systems and user workflows under tight deadlines for Front End Engineers working on the Website and Mobile Applications 

• Ad-hoc tasks based on the business needs 

What we’re looking for:

• Experience building and maintaining performant and complex web applications with large user base (2+ years) using React, Django 

• Knowledge (2+ years) focusing on building web applications using Python, SQL, JavaScript, HTML and CSS 

• Production knowledge of REST APIs, and SQL databases 

• Experience using modern technologies for build and testing pipeline like PyTest, Artifactory and Github Actions 

• Strong team player in a flat-structured, highly-collaborative, agile environment is a must 

• Communicate clearly and effectively with operations, marketing, and the rest of the team 

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes and Docker 

• Experience in the e-commerce or telemedicine space 

• Experience using Amazon Web Services
