JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse (RN) 

FLSA: Non-Exempt

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Assists in the delivery of primary health and patient care management in an infusion center. 

REPORTS TO: Clinical and HR Director


DUTIES PERFORMED: (This list may not include all the duties assigned)

  • Manages daily operations of the infusion clinic, working with various injections and infusions.
  • Gives injections and starts IVs as needed.
  • Works with various levels of leadership and pharmaceutical representatives on medications and workflow.
  • Works with billing team to understand requirements.
  • Assist in various clinic workflows.
  • Document patient communication and notes in EMR.
  • Daily communication with patient schedulers and phone room staff.
  • Partner with providers to assist with patients they have identified that need additional follow-up.
  • Assists in clinic as assigned by supervisor.
  • Performs other clinical and administrative duties.
  • Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintains clean work environment in patient care areas.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

ENVIRONMENT: Outpatient, clinical care setting.


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse
  • Minimum three years of nursing experience
  • Minimum two years training and educating clinic staff.

  • Strong focus on clinical and patient satisfaction.
  • Perform effectively in stressful situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions while acting as a leader in healthcare.
  • Excellent computer proficiency
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, management, staff, and contacts outside the organization.
