Description of the Position:
To join a team of faculty members from Carleton, Macalester, and St. Olaf as we work on a year-long project titled “Building a Community Engagement Credential Program for Students in the Arts and Humanities,” funded by a grant from Associated Colleges of the Midwest. The Project Assistant will support the project by performing logistical and administrative work, including creating and maintaining the project WordPress site. The Project Assistant will commit to working with us during April-May 2025 and September-December 2025 in a hybrid fashion (sometimes in person, sometimes remote) for around 10 hours per month.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Assistant will be responsible for the following activities:
- Create and maintain the project website.
- Take notes at 6 virtual meetings (in April, May, Sept, Oct, Nov, and Dec 2025).
- Assist with preparing project reports.
- Promote the project on social media, via MarComm, and/or local news outlets at regular intervals.
Required Skills:
- Must have strong organization and communication skills
- Must reply promptly to email
- Must have the ability to work independently
- Must pay keen attention to detail and recordkeeping
- Experience using WordPress, including embedding media into WordPress sites, is preferred
- Eye for visual presentation of information and media for a broad audience, including on social media, is preferred
- Must have a strong command of English-language grammar and style

Hiring Timeline: Applications will be accepted until March 21, 2025. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis until a suitable candidate is chosen. The successful applicant will be notified by March 28, 2025. The Project Assistant will begin work in early April 2025, starting with a virtual meeting with Professor Kheshgi.
