UC Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the emergency department at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
The Emergency Department Nurse will support the Medical Center’s emergency room (ER) and Level I Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures.

Unit Details:
UC Medical Center is the region’s only adult Level I trauma center and Cincinnati’s only Comprehensive Stroke Center certified by the Joint Commission.
The unit provides development opportunities to grow your personal, professional, and leadership skills through dynamic resources and education.
Our ED expansion is going to bring state of the art equipment, 6 SRU rooms, 4 large trauma bays, behavioral health pods, a more manageable nursing station, and a larger waiting room.
The Registered Nurse (RN) is an individual who holds a current state license to practice nursing. The practice of nursing requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide care to groups and individuals. The RN utilizes knowledge derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. The care is culturally based and age specific.
Prepares, implements, evaluates, revises, and coordinates interdisciplinary plan of care for each assigned patient in a collaborative effort with the other healthcare team members and patient/family within the time frame indicated by unit's standards of practice.
Communicates formulated plan of care, as appropriate, to all levels of associates involved in the patient's care, and demonstrates ability to establish priorities of care based on patient's assessment and needs.
