About Ottimate
Ottimate is an AI-native accounts payable (AP) automation and payments platform serving mid-market, multi-location operators across hospitality, healthcare, grocery and retail, and client accounting services (CAS). We help finance teams capture, code, approve, and pay invoices with AI handling the repetitive work — across AP automation, Vendor Pay payments, and spend management.
We're PE-backed (FTV Partners) and moving fast toward a more autonomous, agentic future for B2B finance. It's a great time to join and own real surface area early.
About The Role
You'll own ERP integrations — the layer that decides whether Ottimate is a system of record our customers trust or a tool that creates reconciliation work. Every invoice we process eventually has to land in a general ledger, match a purchase order, and come back marked paid. That round trip is your product.
Ottimate has 140+ integrations, and fewer than 15 of them are true API integrations. The rest are a long tail of customer-specific, file-based connections. Our flagship ERP integrations are Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Dynamics 365 Business Central, and Acumatica, alongside a large QuickBooks installed base. Two things are happening at once: we're deepening the flagship integrations toward parity with what mid-market controllers expect, and we're consolidating the legacy long tail onto a modern integration platform so one system serves all of it.
This is a senior individual-contributor role, and it is unusually technical for a PM job. You'll write detailed integration and data-mapping specifications, work side by side with integration engineers every day, and be the person who can explain to a controller why their bill posted to the wrong period. You'll also own the go-to-market side — marketplace listings, partner certifications, and release communications — because in this domain the partner ecosystem is a distribution channel, not an afterthought.
Responsibilities:
- Own the integrations roadmap across the flagship ERPs and the long-tail portfolio — outbound AP bills, Vendor Pay payments, and journal entries, plus inbound sync of vendors, chart of accounts, dimensions, purchase orders, receipts, catalog items, and payment terms.
- Drive platform consolidation. Move legacy customer-specific integrations onto the modern platform and retire duplicated paths — with every migration invisible to the customer whose month-end depends on it.
- Specify integrations precisely. Own the data-mapping requirements, the defaulting and validation rules, and the multi-entity and intercompany routing decisions before a new connection goes live.
- Get the accounting right. Posting date and period determination, dimension hierarchies, charge and line-type handling, amount- and quantity-based PO matching, multi-shipment and multi-location bill splitting, payment reverse sync, 1099 compliance, and posting-period reconciliation back to the ERP.
- Own integration reliability as a product surface. Export monitoring, error handling, retry behavior, and customer-visible failure messaging. Partner with Support and Solutions on escalations, and turn recurring tickets into roadmap items rather than a permanent queue.
- Make integrations self-serve. Push configuration out of engineering and into onboarding and Solutions tooling so a new customer connection is a setup task, not a development project.
- Own partner and marketplace go-to-market. NetSuite SuiteApp certification, Business Central AppSource publishing, Sage Intacct and Intuit partner motions — plus the sandbox environments, certification requirements, and partner relationships behind them.
- Ship on cadence and tell the story. Ottimate ships three major releases a year. You'll own scoping, release readiness, release notes, internal enablement, and the GTM materials that let Sales and Solutions sell what you built.
- Prioritize with data. Use MRR and customer counts by integration, escalation volume, and export success rates to decide where the next engineering month goes — and be able to defend it to the ERP Solutions Managers who own those customer relationships.
Requirements
- 5+ years in product management, with meaningful ownership of integrations, platform, or API products.
- Real accounts payable and accounting domain depth. You understand the AP lifecycle end to end, GL coding, chart of accounts and dimension structures,
