Senior IT Project Manager

Job Description:

Saab is seeking a highly driven Senior IT Project Manager to lead and deliver complex information technology projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of technology, project management methodologies, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successful project delivery. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of IT projects, from initiation to closure, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Roles and responsibilities

• Under general supervision, oversee various IT projects of a highly complex nature.
• Effectively manages concurrent IT projects.
• Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project.
• Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
• Create and maintain essential project documentation, such as Communication Plan, Risk Management Plan, Roles/Responsibilities Matrix, and Issues Log.
• Manage resources in a cross-functional environment and proactively coordinate resource allocation and production releases with other Project Managers.
• Conduct project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
• Provide analytical guidance to the project team.
• Actively manage risks and issues for assigned projects and when necessary, escalates issues to management's attention for guidance and assistance in reaching a resolution.

Compensation Range: $99,000 - $128,800

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• BA / BS Degree with preference towards Business, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
• 8+ years of Project Management experience leading multi-discipline project teams.
• Must have excellent Project Management skills with a proven track record in delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Advanced skills in MS Office tools, including MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Customer focused attitude in dealing with internal customers.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, decision making and communications skills.
• Experience leading teams using Agile methodology.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Agile Scrum Master experience.
• Work experience with ServiceNow project management module.
• International work experience.
