Job Description:

This position is responsible for the implementation of business services of the incubation program including, UT Business Incubator (UTBI), Minority Business Development Center (MBDC) and the APEX Accelerator. The position is responsible for operations of the programs, including grant tracking, metric and client reporting, assistance with intake for all potential clients, and providing client services. In addition, this position will ensure continued growth of all three programs, and the development of new incubation initiatives and overall strategy. The position meets with potential clients and existing clients of the program to determine need for services to advance their company. The position oversees the entry of data into the JumpStart Salesforce system to track metrics and submits quarterly reports as required by the State of Ohio. This position may provide departmental oversight in the absence of the Director of Incubation & Business Operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/experience/licensure:
 Bachelor’s degree in a field directly relevant to positions business development roles is required.
 5-7 years’ experience working in economic development and business formation is required.
 Demonstrated effective customer relationship management.
 Management and support involving service delivery to multiple clients.
 Experience with business processes, including overseeing services purchased on behalf of clients, and executing client requests.

Demonstrated Skills & Abilities:
 Computer skills, including use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs and client management software.
 Experience with budgets and overall finance.
 Meeting of objectives and timelines.
 Interpersonal skills that develop strong team and external relationships

Preferred Qualifications:

 Digital and social marketing experience is preferred.
