Department Overview

 

PG&E’s Business Finance team provides critical financial support to its operational Business Partners within the company. This support includes but is not limited to financial analysis, budgeting, planning, and forecasting, monitoring, performance metric reporting and analysis. These services are critical to achieving the company’s strategic, operational, and financial objectives.

 

Position Overview

 

In this role you will serve as the Senior Business Finance Analyst within the Business Finance Regulatory Support group supporting Electric, Gas, and IT Operations. As a member of the Regulatory Support team, you will be responsible for supporting the regulatory process for the above functional areas, including addressing data requests and liaising with the regulatory team to ensure appropriate compliance and reporting. A particular focus will be regulatory filings including preparing the forecast for regulatory filing, reviewing recorded data for regulatory attributes, understanding the rate case calendar and how business finance will help to make a strong regulatory filing.

 

You will coordinate with Regulatory Affairs, the various and functional areas’ regulatory strategy and internal business finance teams to ensure regulatory compliance while serving as a business partner focusing on the regulatory needs from business finance. You will balance and utilize your functional expertise, intellectual curiosity, ethics, and people skills to build and maintain integrative relationships and ensure best in class decision and information reporting support.

 

The role is hybrid working from your remote office and in-person at the Oakland General Office, 0-4 days monthly, on average, or based on business needs or company requirements.
