National Grid is hiring a Coordinator, Maps and Records for Massachusetts
This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to one of our locations
Job Purpose
Maps & Records Sr. Coordinator shall aid Mapping Supervisor in managing Performance Excellence by providing data, performing feedback, and enforcing standards thus ensuring the Department is meeting requisite targets and objectives, identifying concerns and causes of deficiencies and recommending and implementing improvement opportunities, both internal and external to the team.
Key Accountabilities
- Support development of both new and existing employees as required.
- Enter all received work into appropriate mapping backlog databases daily. Maintain those databases to support key department metrics.
- Create and maintain SOP polygon data within GIS daily to ensure safe daily gas network operation.
- Generate and maintain various reports and their supporting databases that relate to receivables, production (team and individual), backlogs, and other data to support performance against Line-of-Sight deliverables which include Safety, KPI’s, and Compliance metrics.
- Ensure quality of mapped work and post such work into gas GIS daily and provide feedback through interpersonal communication as well as a database.
- Assist in maintaining the records retention database and prepare and process documentation for storage per National Grid policy.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in GIS or Engineering discipline. 2+ years of related work experience in lieu of.
- Knowledge of National Grid's mapping systems and procedures
- Desired: 2 year’s experience in Mapping, GIS, or engineering in a lead or mapping/drafting technician capacity.
- Experience in Python, Visual Basic, and/or other languages preferred, but not required.
- 2 year’s of experience in conducting data analytics
- Possess sound interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Possess valid driver’s license.

This position is subject to PHMSA (Pipeline and Hazardous Material Safety Administration) & DOT (Department of Transportation) rules and regulations, including drug and alcohol rules.
Salary - $92,000 - $108,000
