Your tasks

• Shape our strategy and business direction, by providing the Board a clear view on renewables energy market trends based on economic, regulatory, technology and supply chain information to enable informed strategy and business decisions
• Become the responsible strategy contact for topics involving grid access of renewables and battery storage – incl. co-location and hybridization – and be the first contact for respective directors/senior executives to create and steer the strategy, evaluate opportunities and shape development plans
• Pro-actively identify need for strategic projects, propose/design them, gather project teams and support shaping strategic agenda together with Director of Strategy and other Senior Strategy Managers 
• Independently lead and facilitate strategic projects focusing on grid access and grid regulation as a key enabler for growth of co-located/hybrid renewables and battery storage projects
• Develop sound understanding of our setup and capabilities by fostering excellent working relationships with key stakeholders
• Closely support the Director of Strategy in managerial tasks, such as sourcing, recruiting, people development and definition of vision and mission of the team

 

Your profile

• Successfully completed studies in business, economics or engineering (preferred electrical engineering), preferably with post-graduate degree/ MBA 
• Several years (5-7) of professional experience either in leading strategic projects (at a top management consultancy/the corporate strategy department of a large company) or in development of renewable/electricity grid assets 
• Strong analytical and conceptual mind, with ability to synthesize the implications of different variables for the business
• Existing technical and/or regulatory knowledge about energy systems, electricity grids or grid access of renewables/battery storage assets
• Ability to summarize complex topics and extract decision options
• Excellent project and stakeholder management skills, with ability to independently own and drive projects/ modules/ work packages within bigger teams
• Track record of managing large/ complex projects, especially in international setups
• Structured and concise communication style, proficient in synthesizing and presenting key messages to board-level stakeholders
• Fluent in written and spoken English
