Part of Dover Corporation’s Engineered Systems segment, Vehicle Service Group (VSG) is a strong, diverse and dynamic global leader in the vehicle service industry. VSG comprises 13 major vehicle lifting, wheel service, diagnostic and collision repair brands: Rotary Lift®, Chief®, Forward®, Direct-Lift®, Ravaglioli, Hanmecson®, Revolution®, Elektron, Blitz, Nogra, Butler, Space and Sirio.

SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing, maintain and pursuing government contracts with federal, state and local government agencies.  Responsible for handling of related documentation, agency relationships, sales lead inquiries and appropriate entry and qualification into main customer database. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  1. Embraces and understands all products and technology.
  2. Facilitate government documentation including quotes, contracts, sales orders, follow-up communications with agencies and coordinate installations.
  3. Actively seek and bid on new contracts
  4. Monitor and engage VSG team members when bidding or renewing contracts
  5. Be responsible for all system data entry for quotes and sales orders.
  6. Manage all aspects of determining necessary and appropriate participation credits to distributors and selection of installers on all government projects.
  7. Reporting of government sales results.
  8. Train and extend education of government contracts with rep groups and distribution channel.
  9. Provide discovery notes of current monthly activity for sales & marketing meetings.
  10. Work with all government agency personnel to building relationships and in providing required documentation.
  11. Create and submit of all required pricing updates as necessary.
  12. Work closely with the field sales members on projects requiring their involvement.

  17. Continual Improvement and Problem Resolution: Identifies and communicates suggestions for work improvements. Uses technical/analytical abilities to assure existing work practices are the most efficient and cost effective possible. Performs root-cause analysis and implements viable, permanent solutions to problems. Works with both internal and external customers to develop solutions which meet company-wide needs and objectives. Applies a sense of urgency to resolve problems or create opportunities that will increase productivity and create value. Shares best practices with other employees across the business.
  18. Accountability: Accepts responsibility and accountability for both the strategic planning and the successful implementation of all projects/programs/duties as outlined in this job description. Advises supervisor of concerns, problems, and progress of work in a timely manner. Demonstrates a sound balance between quality and quantity of work while maintaining a sense of urgency toward completion. Deadlines are met.

CONTACTS (Internal and External):
Heavy telephone, some written correspondence, and minimal personal contact with end-user customers. Periodic contact with field sales management, distribution, and other Rotary headquarters personnel.   

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education: High School graduate with training in sales, customer service. Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or associated area is desirable.

Experience: 3+ years work experience
