Job Description
This position operates as a business partner proposing ideas and innovative solutions that enable new organizational capabilities through the efficient management of software products. We collaborate internationally to deliver the services and solutions that enables the commercialization of our medicines, vaccines, and Animal Health products. The SAM Optimization Data Analyst will be part of a center-led Software Asset Management Service to ensure compliant, cost effective and efficient utilization of software in partnerships with Software Owners across our company. The position acts as the key liaison with internal stakeholders to ensure the alignment and maturity development of overall software assets capabilities within the enterprise. Our company is driving a multi-year IT transformation that requires an operationally and technically focused SAM Service to support the effective utilization of third-party software as underpinning technologies in support of our broader overall IT initiatives of moving to the cloud, data and analytics and an agile product team centric operating mode as key elements of the IT change. In addition, this role is expected to work as an advocate and expand the utilization of SAM services and data as a foundational element within IT to deliver breakthrough results, driving overall innovation and automation.
What will you do?
Conducting in-depth data analysis and reporting, delivering actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making across the organization
Supporting cross-functional teams by integrating SAM tool into existing systems, automating repetitive tasks and increasing productivity
Contributing to better decision-making, cost savings and risk avoidance within an IT software asset environment
Ensures that the software asset inventory is maintained at optimal levels against contract terms and conditions, collecting and analyzing IT asset usage data
Accountable for understanding and communicating information about software license models and license related terms. Utilizing reports and dashboards to showcase findings to team leaders and stakeholders, enabling better business-driven decisions.
Identify and remediate risk compliance issues, non-approved SW assets
Analysis of market changes and new trends, assessing impact on our company’s SW
Helps improve the whole software assets life-cycle
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:
High School Diploma required.
2+ years of experience with advanced analytical tools for performance data analysis and comprehensive reporting capabilities.
2+ years of experience in IT asset management (ITAM) and/or IT vendor contract/licensing agreements is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented, self-starter.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to learn complex technologies and vendor unique licensing rules.
