BŌK Modern is seeking a 3D Solid Works Designer with a minimum 3-5 years of experience and excellent design and production skills to assist our team with design and development of our products. Our ideal candidate should have experience in architectural environments.

 

This position is ideal for someone who wants to utilize and expand their SolidWorks design and shop drawing skills on an exciting and wide variety of projects. You will be working directly with the design lead to convert 2D CAD drawings into 3D SolidWorks models, prepare 2D shop drawings, manage files, assembly, and Bills of Materials. You will assist in resolving challenging design and technical solutions utilizing BŌK Modern’s proprietary architectural metal systems.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years SolidWorks Experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years with preparing shop drawings for fabrication
  • SolidWorks sheet metal software experience is preferred
  • Experience with product design, sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting, forming and welding a plus
  • Familiar with reading Architectural drawings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • AutoCAD experience a plus
  • Must have willingness to utilize and capitalize the SolidWorks program
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have a strong sense of commitment and responsibility for final product
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • A very fast learner who has a good ability to multi-task
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Organized, punctual, and a self-starter
  • Autonomous, proactive, and professional attitude
  • Punctual and disciplined

  • SLDPRT (part files) 
  • SLDASM (assembly files)
  • PDF

As part of the interview process, you will be required to take an off-site Solid Works assignment.

 

On-site employees are preferred in downtown San Rafael. Remote candidates may also be considered, especially in So. California, Texas, Oregon, Colorado, or Florida. For remote hires, BŌK Modern will provide paid onsite training, and the employee can work remotely after that, with monthly team meetings on-site.
