The Technical Content Manager will be critical in the success of the Roush Products Group, comprised
of Roush CleanTech and Roush Performance, service, and installation network, through the
management of training and technical publications for the organization. This role is responsible for
managing the creation of training and service content, including service manuals, web-based modules,
classroom presentations, video and hands-on modules for the customer facing website and learning
management system user communities. The role is also responsible for management of the customer facing knowledge database, which will include authoring, editing, and approving all knowledge articles
for publishing.
As a Technical Content Manager, you will:
- Manage the strategy and timing of delivery of technical written content, including but not
limited to service manuals, diagnostic manuals, owner’s guides, and installation manuals - Manage the strategy for all training, including but not limited to, customer training requests
onsite, factory workshops, web-based training modules, and training videos - Strategic management of knowledge database and authoring, editing, and approving all
knowledge articles for publishing - Manage learning management system user community for online training
- Assist in the development of new content for website
To be considered as a Technical Content Manager, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Technical Publication or similar field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical writing
- Minimum 2 years of management experience
- Excellent ability to develop, write, and edit technical content including creating new and update existing onsite and web-based training content
- Ability to present in front of customers and groups of automotive technicians
- Demonstrated professionalism and interacts well with all levels of employees and with
customers - Proficient computer skills and use of Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to
PowerPoint and Excel - Excellent communication and organizational skills
A successful candidate may also have:
- Experience with Salesforce or other customer relationship management (CRM) platforms
- Experience with managing learning management system (LMS) user communities
- Understanding of automotive technology or alternative fuels technology
