About the role

The Maintenance and Engineering Manager is responsible for managing the maintenance and engineering of Ford Center. The Maintenance and Engineering Manager reports to the Sr. Facility Manager.

Job Duties:
• Oversees building preparation for all events (including major events) and daily operations
• Help maintain cleanliness of the facility; uphold high standards for safety and appearance
• Manage facility maintenance, preventative maintenance, utility management, and engineering, including but not limited to: elevators, escalators, lighting controls and systems, chiller plant, HVAC systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, refrigeration, fire and work order systems
• Serve as facility operations management representative for events at the facility
• Ensure a safe, clean, and friendly environment for guests, participants, and staff
• Manage facility systems (including and not limited to HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and hydraulic systems) within building to ensure proper functionality
• Manage Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Manage all regular and capital projects as assigned
• Perform preventative and general maintenance work
• Perform repairs on systems and assist in modifying systems within the Ford Center
• Perform other functions and activities across all DCFC owned properties as directed
• Position may have direct reports

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience overseeing maintenance and engineering at a venue of a similar size preferred
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Able to understand, troubleshoot, and repair systems, equipment, and tools
• Experience with equipment inventory or CMMS system preferred
• Experience with building management systems and lighting controls required
• Experience with chiller plant operations required
• Experience managing maintenance personnel
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
• Able to simultaneously manage a high level of detail across multiple projects
• Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure
• Able to work well within a team environment, offering assistance and support to team members whenever necessary
• Able to balance internal priorities with client expectations
• Position requires the ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, reach with hands or arms, twist, turn, and climb stairs.
• Position requires the ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds.
• Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays (including on-call duties) across all DCFC owned properties as directed
