Software Engineer

Our partner is looking for a skilled Software Engineer in Columbus, OH to join their experienced Software Engineering team. This opportunity involves contributing to the design and delivery of cutting-edge technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in designing and developing scalable and resilient systems using Java or Python for continual, iterative improvements.
• Execute software solutions, covering design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Generate secure and high-quality production code, maintaining algorithms synchronized with appropriate systems.
• Contribute to architecture and design artifacts, ensuring software code development aligns with design constraints.
• Analyze and synthesize insights from large, diverse data sets to enhance software applications and systems.
• Identify hidden problems and patterns in data, using insights to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Participate in software engineering communities of practice and events exploring new and emerging technologies.
• Foster a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficient in coding in Java or Python languages.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.
• Knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
• Exposure to cloud technologies.
