OVERVIEW

The Sourcing Manager (Cartier), reporting to the Regional Strategic Sourcing Director, partners with Cartier Maison and departments to optimize indirect sourcing and procurement across the region, contributing to Cartier business objectives, primarily on marketing services and on client and retail environment. This position is responsible to deliver sourcing execution in a fast-paced environment, select the best suppliers and drive continuous improvement in the supply base, in alignment with procurement policy, best practices, and sustainability ambitions. In addition, this position will support Cartier HQ in implementing global sourcing in strategies within the Americas’ region.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Sourcing optimization:

  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies and plan for key spend categories (specifically marketing services, and client and retail environment), in line with Richemont and Cartier global strategies, policies and processes
  • Build up and animate expertise in key categories, including spend analysis, business requirements, market knowledge, value chains and cost structure, risks, compliance and regulation, and sustainability
  • Setup preferred suppliers and contracts for recurring purchases
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement in close partnership with the business, converting analysis to action and results

 

Supplier Selection and Management:

  • Identify and select the best solutions and vendors to benefit from the best overall service, contractual and commercial conditions, conduct RFx events, lead negotiations and develop contracts
  • Manage supplier performance reviews including remediation, re-negotiations, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and conduct supplier reviews in collaboration with the business, procurement teams, legal and sustainability teams
  • Conduct vendor visit as necessary

 

Support HQ Driven Projects

  • Assist the local (US) sourcing for HQ procurement projects (POSM, Packaging, Edition, …)
  • Pilot the production launch and the quality level with HQ Quality Specification requirements
  • Reporting and follow-up to HQ on local project status

 

 

Procurement Excellence:

  • Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of procurement policy and processes, to ensure a high level of compliance with a business focussed approach
  • Serve as sourcing and procurement subject matter expert, advising the Maison on procurement strategies, processes, policies, and best practices

 

Sustainable Procurement:

  • Ensure suppliers comply with Richemont Supplier Code of Conduct and with other compliance requirements; lead efforts to survey, audit, and assess suppliers in partnership with internal stakeholders
  • Ensure and pro-actively drive the implementation of sustainability objectives and good practices in every category, project, RFx and sourcing activity, working with sustainability teams, and internal and external experts

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

  • Degree in Sourcing, Procurement, Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • 6+ years’ mid-level experience in procurement or consulting
  • Project management skills combined with an ability to work as part of a cross-functional team; RNA has a matrix structure where working across Maisons and Functions is required
  • Experience in indirect and direct sourcing is preferred
  • Experience in the luxury industry, as well as the consumer reta
