About the Role:
The Project Management Specialist III will provide support to the Finance PMO in executing Finance Learning & Development programs, Finance Acquisition-Integration coordination, and other projects and programs as needed. The Project Management Specialist III must be a self-starter who is capable of balancing multiple priorities in a professional manner.  In addition, the Project Management Specialist III must have excellent inter-personal skills and be able to work and communicate well with others at all levels. The Finance PMO is a dynamic and growing team; this role is a great development opportunity to learn from more experienced project managers while positively impacting the BSC Finance community.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • [50%] Assist with the day-to-day execution of the Finance Leadership Development Program, Finance Internship Program, Emerging Leaders Program, and other finance learning and development initiatives and trainings, under the direction of an experienced Project Manager
    • Assist with training and event planning and execution: scheduling trainings/events, organizing training content and speakers, facilitating in-person and virtual events, communicating about training and events to Finance community, etc.
    • Support recruiting activities including college campus events and interviews.
    • Other project management and project execution support as needed.
  • [30%] Support Finance Acquisition Integration, under the direction of an experienced Project Manager
    • Support process and documentation development for Corporate Finance acquisition and integration activities.
    • Support completion of functional team checklists and requests (ex: OBS/PPA, Policy alignment, Tax, Internal Controls, etc.).
    • Manage, organize, and track open data ‘request lists’ for each acquisition.
    • Coordinate meetings, document meeting notes, new follow ups and open action items.
    • Other project management and project execution support as needed.
  • [20%] Support other Finance PMO projects as needed

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field: Project Management, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Etc.
  • 3+ years of project leadership or PMO experience and a demonstrated desire to learn more about Finance OR 3+ years of Finance experience and a demonstrated desire to build project management skills
  • Highly organized; effectively manages competing projects and priorities
  • Learns quickly; willing to delve deeply into project details
  • Proactively seeks out feedback to continuously improve self and business processes
  • A desire and commitment to meaningfully contribute to organizational culture
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft suites (O365, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Expertise in at least one of these areas: Kaizen and/or workshop facilitation, change management, process improvement
  • PMP certification

 

Travel:

  • Occasional, limited travel to other BSC sites may be required
