About the Role:

Drive innovation and deliver best-in-class multi-platform marketing ideas that meet client needs, and leverage brand assets that align with the Yahoo Finance property.

Serve as an overall relationship manager with the editorial leads to bring value to all constituencies.

Maintain a strategic view over the team's portfolio to align and maximize the impact of solutions provided to key stakeholders.

Be creative, strategic, and analytical while consistently collaborating internally and externally.

Responsibilities:

Sales Positioning and Packaging

  • Drive creative ideation for high-touch client proposals and partnerships

  • Develop monetization strategies for Yahoo Finance  - from off-the-shelf advertising products to strategic sponsorships and integrated programs

  • Responsible for guiding the development, positioning, and packaging of multi-platform marketing solutions for clients

  • Player-Coach role to develop narrative & materials for Yahoo Finance client proposals to high-level one-sheets, to in-depth toolkits 

Editorial Partnership, Ad Product Development and Strategy

  • Primary liaison between editorial and sales to develop new ideas and content offerings

  • Partner with our Premium Packaging Leads to develop the GTM roadmap, including the high-level strategy for each deliverable 

  • Partner with product team to shape and innovate roadmaps to drive commercial growth

  • Partner with consumer marketing and insights to understand our strengths with our audience, our consumer experience, and advertising opportunities. 

  • This leader will drive efforts across Yahoo business units, notably central marketing, operations, editorial, business development, insights, Ad Tech, Yahoo Sports, Yahoo News, and Tech Crunch.

  • Events: conceptualize and develop existing and net new events for commercial growth

  • Collaborate with Business Operations and Strategy to drive commercial  workstreams

Desired Skills And Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with financial news content required

  • Financial subject matter expertise: deep knowledge of financial clients, their customers, financial media advertising landscape

  • Self-motivated and Creative Problem-Solver

  • Excellent Organizational And Time-Management Skills

  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to consistently meet goals and targets

  • Ability to project manage one’s projects, and oversee/guide others – start to finish. 

  • Comfortable questioning conventional wisdom, eager to take initiative, able to identify and develop creative solutions

  • Solid communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively and balance delicate relationships

The compensation for this position ranges from $140,890.00 - $306,705.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.
