DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of a Coordinator, Transportation, the Router plans school bus routes and maintains information concerning routes and stop locations for students. The work of this position also involves maintaining data in the computer-assisted routing software to include routes, equipment, employee and student information, taking corrective action on bus routes and seeking assistance and guidance from the Area Managers, Transportation Coordinators, as well as the Director of Student Transportation. This position is also responsible for assisting in maintaining data concerning transportation routes, students, equipment, and contractor information. This is a non-supervisory position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Education:
High school diploma or GED (equivalent).
Experience:
Three (3) years of work experience in the transportation, logistics or customer service roles to include at least one year of experience analyzing data to support and improve transportation routes, logistics or customer service.
Three (3) years of work experience in a support role providing professional customer service and problem-solving, including working with students, families or other stakeholders to provide supports and services to resolve challenges.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Three (3) years of work experience in a PreK-12 school or another public agency setting for the delivery of serv
