Accounting Intern (Remote)

About the RoleRainFocus is looking for an accounting intern to assist the finance team with day to day accounting tasks. Daily tasks will include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, customer payment application and cash reconciliations and other ad-hoc requests as needed. This will be 20-40 hours per week and can be flexible around school schedules.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Cash
• Applying bank transactions to Rainfocus customers and event attendee accounts.
• Entering bank transactions and reconciling bank accounts within Netsuite on a weekly basis
• Accounts Payable
• Collecting invoices from vendors and obtaining proper approvals from internal departments
• Enter all vendor bills into NetSuite to be paid
• Accounts Receivable
• Send invoices to customers as they are created
• Follow up with customers on past due invoices
• Assist finance team with close related tasks such as accruals, analysis and reporting as needed
• Other Ad-Hoc projects as needed

Required Skills:

• Currently working toward bachelors or masters in accounting or related field
• Understanding of basic accounting functions
• Basic knowledge of accounting systems and ability to learn quickly in new system
