Our Operations team is seeking an Operations Strategy Manager to help tackle key strategic and operational challenges through research, analysis, and modeling. In this position, you will help define our overall operating strategy and find ways to improve long-term productivity.

About the Role

Our Operations team is seeking an Operations Strategy Manager to help tackle key strategic and operational challenges through research, analysis, and modeling. In this position, you will help define our overall operating strategy and find ways to improve long-term productivity.

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop an in-depth understanding of Cruise’s operations and business model on which to base your recommendations
• Identify and pursue opportunities to improve Cruise’s operating performance, anticipating and solving for any key risks or opportunities
• Identify and model long term strategic solutions to address key operational challenges
• Scope and drive high-priority, cross-functional projects for Cruise
• Develop analyses to inform strategic recommendations then present findings to colleagues and senior leadership
• Work closely with counterparts in Commercial Ops team and other relevant partners to incorporate input and build consensus

What you must have:

• Analytical problem solving: ability to frame issues into key drivers or decision factors
• Robust story-telling and presentation development skills (G-Suite or PowerPoint)
• Applied modeling skills: ability to use G-Sheets/Excel and more advanced tools to distill quantitative insights
• Effective collaboration skills with ability to build strong relationships across the organization
• Ability to work with a high level of autonomy while juggling multiple projects - self-starter with a bias for action
• Comfortable with ambiguity; strong business judgment
• Ability to travel occasionally, on average several times per quarter
• Passionate about self-driving technology and its potential impact on the world!

• Proven track record of success at a high-growth start-up or strategy consulting firm
• MBA or equivalent
• Fleet or transportation/mobility experience

 

The salary range for this position is $101,400 - 149,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
