Job Description

Job Overview

  • Element Six is currently seeking an experienced Production and Logistics Support Specialist to join our collaborative team in Santa Clara, CA.
  • We are looking to further expand our small and friendly team. The role is based on-site at our facility.
  • The successful candidate will directly report to the Production Manager, working as part of a team of skilled engineers and technicians developing and producing high-performance diamond products for the global market.
  • This is an important site-based role with opportunity for growth.  You will be responsible for assisting operations, engineering, and finance teams; this will require critical decision-making, problem-solving capabilities and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • For the successful candidate a skill set is important, however equal emphasis will be put on personal abilities in terms of being a proactive team member, with the ability to communicate well and to think outside the box.
  • We operate a skills-based program, and the successful applicant may be required to cross train into other areas as needed.

 

Duties and tasks

  • Shipping and Receiving
    • Coordinating and shipping outbound orders; liaising with external service providers.
    • Maintain documentation for all inbound and outbound product.
    • Following established procedures for receiving incoming orders and processing purchase orders.
  • Inventory
    • Maintaining updated and accurate records of inventory including periodic cycle counts.
    • Review documentation to monitor discrepancies and perform reconciliations where appropriate.
    • Assist with the coordination of material movement within the facility.
    • Attention to detail and inventory calculations.
  • Materials Management
    • Provide support and proactively communicate with internal customers.
    • Recommend improvements to existing operational procedures focused on efficiency and cost.
    • Create, issue and close Work Orders. Assist in managing shop floor activities.
    • Assist in creating and processing purchase orders.

Qualifications

  • Experience and Education
    • High school diploma or GED
    • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role preferred.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office
    • Experience with ERP software is preferred.
