POSITION SPECIFICS
The Deputy Title IX Coordinator supports the work of the Title IX Coordinator by assisting with the administration, coordination and implementation of the University's Title IX compliance and response efforts, including regulatory requirements and University policies related to sex- and gender-based discrimination including sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and other forms of sexual misconduct. The Deputy Title IX Coordinator supports the Title IX Coordinator in developing and implementing a long‑term strategic plan for institutional adherence to Title IX and related policies and procedures, including associated programs, services, and education and outreach for students, staff, and faculty. This position also supports the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer in ensuring compliance with civil rights laws related to protected class status, including Title VI and related federal and state laws and University policies. The Deputy Title IX Coordinator may act on behalf of the Title IX Coordinator when delegated.
The role ensures University community members are knowledgeable of statutory, regulatory, and University-established ethics, culture, value, and standards of conduct requirements/expectations; support the creation and implementation of University compliance policies and procedures; keep abreast of regulatory requirements; conduct compliance audits and investigations; provide non-compliant remediation and monitoring, and conduct compliance education and training.
This position is housed within the University's Office of Ethics and Compliance, which oversees a broad range of compliance functions and promotes adherence to the University's core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, discovery, excellence, and community.
