As a Compliance Specialist - Driver Onboarding, known internally as Qualifications Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our operations, playing a crucial role in the onboarding of new Drivers. Your efforts will ensure that only the most qualified and compliant individuals join our team, directly contributing to our safety and success.
You'll be the first point of contact for new Drivers, building relationships and guiding them through the application process. Your expertise will ensure that our team stays compliant with both company standards and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the challenge of connecting the dots between regulations, safety, and the human element of driving.
Essential Job Duties
- Review and process Driver applications, ensuring that all criteria are met and that we bring on only the best
- Connect with previous employers to gather essential background information and review Motor Vehicle Records for compliance
- Analyze background checks and drug testing results to make informed decisions on Driver eligibility
- Establish relations with plus field phone and email communication from Agents regarding Driver statuses including providing regular updates
- Establish strong working relationships with new Drivers, Agents, and other stakeholders to streamline the approval process
- Manage the New Driver Hotline and keep all parties informed of application statuses, providing regular updates
- Make determination if a Driver applicant meets the qualification criteria
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Basic computer skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English in a professional manner
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in transportation and/or driver qualifications
