Your Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm EST

Compensation: Starting at $75,000+ plus bonus!

About the Opportunity:

First Help Financial, voted and certified as a “Great Place to Work” by our workforce for three years in a row, is adding a new partner to our Data Analytics and Strategy department to accommodate our remarkable growth! This individual will work as a Data Engineer for our team. This role will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and industry-leading tools.

As a Data Engineer your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

• Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Snowflake database warehouse.
• Collaborate with senior database engineers and analysts to develop and optimize SQL queries.
• Monitor database performance and provide support for troubleshooting and resolving database issues.
• Participate in database development projects, including data modeling and schema design.
• Implement and enforce database security and data protection measures.
• Ensure data quality through validation, cleansing, and transformation processes.
• Support data migration and integration efforts across various platforms.
• Document database processes, configurations, and procedures.
• Monitor and create data pipelines using Rivery and Python.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of database concepts, SQL, and relational database management systems.
• Familiarity with data modeling and database design principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Not afraid to ask questions.
• Some Weekend and Night support is required at times.
• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Snowflake data warehousing solutions.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Oracle databases.
• Exposure to ETL tools like Fivetran or Rivery.
• Experience working with JSON documents in SQL
• Experience working with REST APIs and distributed streaming system like Kafka
• Understanding of business intelligence tools, specifically Sigma BI.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash.
