Collins Aerospace is hiring for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to work at our Engineered Polymer Products (EPP) division, located in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a 1st shift position Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.  

This position is located onsite at our Jacksonville Blount Island facility.

What You Will Do - Primary Responsibilities:

• We are seeking a diligent Maintenance Coordinator to manage the upkeep and repair operations in our facilities.

• The Maintenance Coordinator’s responsibilities include scheduling regular maintenance, managing repair activities, and ensuring the optimal working condition of our premises.

• Candidates should demonstrate good organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and a keen understanding of maintenance planning and operations.

• The ideal candidate will have proven experience in maintenance coordination, be familiar with health and safety regulations, and be able to ensure efficient utilization of maintenance resources.

• Coordinating maintenance worker efforts to ensure efficient and effective upkeep of properties and systems.

• Implementing strategies for preventive and predictive maintenance.

• Developing maintenance schedules and enforcing them among maintenance staff. To include preparing the weekly maintenance schedules and allocating work.

• Responding to emergency maintenance requests as required.

• Training of maintenance staff.

• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Inspecting facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.

• Coordinating with outside vendors and contractors as necessary.

• Experience in planning maintenance operations.

• Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc.

• Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.

• Ability to keep track of and report on activity.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• This position requires a combination of office work and field work.

• Occasional travel may be required for site visits or meetings.

• Reports to the Facility Manager.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.  Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.
• HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. OR In the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 8 years of relevant experience is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of prior work experience in coordinating maintenance within
