The Opportunity

As an engineering manager you will help scale Adobe’s business by delivering value through our Developer Platform Services.

We are focused on increasing the value of every engineer at the company by reducing toil, solving common problems and providing a developer tools that allow our application and solution developers to focus on delivering world-class products.

There are opportunities in Adobe San Jose for you to build and run the services and solutions that help deliver Adobe’s vision of the future. You will have the chance to work with a wide variety of engineering teams from across the company.

What you'll Do

• Mentor and guide a strong team of engineers, hire and retain key talents
• Build and own critical parts of the services and deliver to production
• Brainstorm and prototype new concepts and approaches
• Review features, architecture, design, code, time & budget estimates, and test strategies
• Articulate the design and code choices to multi-functional teams
• Collaborate with product management and other engineering teams to create the technical vision, and road map for the team
• Drive multiple simultaneous projects, mitigate risks, solve problems, and deliver on time
• Develop and evolve engineering and business processes to optimize team efficiency
• Partner with other teams across Adobe for achieving common goals

• Learn new technologies/technical solutions.

What you need to succeed

• 10+ years of software development experience on enterprise software
• Proven experience leading engineers and projects in an agile environment
• Ardent desire to drive engineering excellence across teams
• Highly motivated, works well in a dynamic collaborative team environment
• Experience building, and maintaining high-scale, data intensive distributed systems
• Ability to lead complex projects and deliver solutions under time and resource pressure
• Deep understanding and hands on experience in Java (or similar)
• Phenomenal communication and collaboration skills
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree
