We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our FE_WIBU team in Easley, SC. This position defines customer quality and industry standards requirements for all new units and pump parts; develops quality program requirements for all orders processed; and reviews and approves work orders, purchase orders, and nonconformance reports, and ensures reports are processed per Quality Manual and ISO 9001 Quality Programs requirements. This position functions independently with occasional guidance from the Manager Quality Assurance. This position supports the Implementation and maintenance of ISO Certification at the SPSI Easley facility. This poisition will facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action. The individual will lead other personnel with the primary focus of continuous improvement. The position functions independently with guidance from the Quality Manager.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

• Reviews and approves related order processing documents, routings, and production orders as required to meet quality manual, purchase order and ISO requirements.
• Conducts receiving inspection to comply with Quality Plan
• Reviews and provides comments on customer purchase order, Tendering support and support Project Management.
• Prepares and approves customer documentation per customer purchase order requirements
• Reviews and revises quality assurance procedures, SOP’s and manufacturing routings as required to comply with customer PO’s, Quality Manual & ISO.
• Assists in internal audits and evaluates quality program effectiveness.
• Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.  Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.
• Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards
• Assist manufacturing engineering with process definition and sequence of operations to meet quality requirements.
• Performs other duties as directed.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

• BS degree in Engineering or closely related field preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance, and manufacturing functions strongly preferred
• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, SAP knowledge preferred.
• Strong manufacturing knowledge
• Good organizational, problem solving, and communication skills
• Strong knowledge ISO 9001 Standard requirements
• Experience in performing internal audits per ISO 9001 is preferred
• Experience with Supplier Quality Assurance is a positive
• Ability to perform duties at a fast and demanding pace while maintaining accurate records
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
