By joining the 4th Floor team as an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM), you will provide clinical supervision and coordinate operations with other departmental disciplines under the direction of the Nurse Manager. With an emphasis on professional development and success, you will encourage caregivers to enhance their skills and the patient experience through improvement initiatives and incentives. 30% of your day will consist of administrative tasks such as staff scheduling, overseeing compliance with policy and procedure and involvement within the unit and hospital committees, while the other 70% will consist of hands-on patient care. This position requires a caregiver who is empathetic, understanding and nurturing to ensure quality patient care. On this team, you will have numerous opportunities to explore educational development courses and advance the Professional Ladder at Cleveland Clinic.       

 

A caregiver in this position works nights from 6:30PM – 7:00AM.  

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

• Supervise and coordinate unit clinical operations.  

• Provide effective and efficient patient care to all ages on assigned shifts or as otherwise designated. 

• Facilitate communication and collaboration among unit caregivers and other departments/units.  

• Ensure continuity of patient care information between shifts. 

• Coordinate patient admitting, discharges, transfers and other operational issues. 

• Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers.
