We are seeking an Enterprise Data Manager to lead and expand our enterprise data platform, with a focus on Microsoft Fabric and modern data practices. Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence, this role provides both leadership and technical depth. You will guide a team of talented data professionals, oversee the growth of our platform, and ensure our solutions continue to scale with the business.
The Enterprise Data Manager will play a central role in shaping the future of our data environment. Enhancing security, improving performance, and extending the reach of data-driven decision-making across the organization. Responsibilities

- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to a team consisting of a Data Architect and a System Engineer, ensuring continued growth, collaboration, and delivery excellence.
- Manage and optimize the existing Microsoft Fabric environment, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Data Pipelines, while expanding capabilities to meet evolving business needs.
- Maintain and enhance established standards, policies, and procedures for data ingestion, transformation, and storage to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Oversee ongoing administration of security frameworks, including Row-Level Security (RLS), object-level permissions, and tenant-level governance, adjusting as requirements evolve.
- Collaborate closely with the Business Intelligence team to ensure platform architecture and standards remain aligned with reporting needs, user adoption, and organizational goals.
- Monitor and improve system reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency, implementing performance tuning and proactive maintenance as the platform scales.
- Partner with IT security to maintain compliance with data privacy, audit, and governance requirements, ensuring continuous alignment with enterprise security practices.
- Conduct regular technical reviews, reinforce best practices, and provide mentorship on Fabric development and administration across the BI team.
- Contribute hands-on to design, troubleshooting, and solution development when needed, serving as a senior escalation point for complex issues.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies in Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and modern data platforms to enhance scalability, governance, and business value.
Qualifications
Required:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform administration, or BI architecture, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong technical expertise with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Pipelines, and Power BI integration.
- Solid understanding of security practices including Row-Level Security, Active Directory integration, and tenant-level governance.
