Summary    
The position requires a strategic leader, with proven critical thinking skills, who can partner with other marketing, business development, administrative, and executive team members to achieve business objectives. Candidates must have a client service focus, a strong understanding of the regulatory practice offerings of a large law firm and possess strong writing and communications skills and a high degree of emotional intelligence to help successfully navigate a large and multi-faceted practice group.    

Location

This position can be remote and can sit in any of our US offices.

Responsibilities  

  • Support our Regulatory practice group.

  • Identify, drive, and oversee new business development opportunities and marketing initiatives to achieve the revenue growth objectives of the firm.

  • Work with lawyers across our Telecommunications, National Security and Global Trade, Environmental Regulatory, Financial Services Regulatory and Transportation groups to ensure a cohesive go-to-market strategy for these distinct offerings. 

  • Develop strategies for practice group growth and expansion of new and existing client relationships.

  • Mentor and provide professional guidance and direction to junior team members on a regular basis

  • Work with our centralized marketing support teams to create impactful digital campaigns, proactively support media relations and PR pitches, craft multichannel content assets and more.

  • Ensure global and national marketing initiatives are being executed with strategic cooperation of your sub-practice groups.

  • Work with the events team to manage practice events, sponsorship activities, advertisements, speaking engagements and similar activities.

  • Assist in targeting and reporting on client-centric activity and impact. 

Desired Skills   

Proficiency with MS Office products to include Word/Excel/Power Point. Experience and ability to plan strategically, execute tactically and have a client service focus. Strong writing and presentation skills. Ability to analyze data and use multiple sources of information to develop solutions and recommendations. Self-starter and leader with accomplished critical thinking skills and a thorough understanding of the value proposition. Excellent communication and data analysis skills. Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Education   

  • BA/BS degree in marketing communications, business or related field 

Preferred Education 

  • Graduate degree or a JD 

Minimum Years of Experience  

  • 8 years’ experience in marketing/business development in a professional services environment 

Preferred Experience  

  • Professional services marketing experience

  • Experience working with the regulatory or, government affairs groups within a law firm
